OK... We know that it's been a long time since anything has been posted in our news section. In fact some people have remarked that freewheelbikes.org is stale, and laden with untrue hours, maps, directions and information. While freewheel can neither confirm nor deny these accusations; the time is now to get involved. Don't delay: lend freewheel's over-stretched troops your writing or bicycle.

All rumors are true, Freewheel has a proud new space at Villager mall, and you are invited to come to our grand* reopening on Saturday, November 18th.

Yep, it's time to fold up the tables and retire the bus for the season...so with snow in the air and tears on our cheeks we say farewell to the South Madison Farmers' Market and our good friend Robert Pierce.

We WILL be back next spring, 'cause the Market was way too much fun!  Big ups and a huge thanks to Robert, who gave us shelter in our time of need.  Besides growing the meanest habaneros and the juiciest melons this side of Chicago, Robert and his family hold down three markets a week, and run a youth gardening program (among many other things).  Robert has been in the biz for a long time and we were real happy to work with him.  We look forward to the 2007 Market season. http://www.southmadisonfarmersmarket.com/
